A Message from Mayor Schleuter and the City of Warrenton Board of Aldermen

As your Elected Officials, we, like you, are very concerned regarding the spread of Covid-19 in our community. From that perspective, we fully support all the actions taken by the Warren County Commissioners and Health Department to mitigate the spread of this coronavirus and keep our citizens as safe as possible. To this end, we urge  each of you to follow the guidelines established by the CDC, State Health Department, and the Warren County Commission and Health Department to take all precautionary measures.

While we realize that closures and "social distancing" measures create an inconvenience for all of us,  we are hopeful that the actions taken now will preclude the necessity for even more restrictive mandates to be enacted nationwide in the future.

City staff is continually working to obtain updated information on the status of future funding from the federal and/or state level for businesses adversely affected by the Covid-19. We will share the information including guidelines and criteria once the final decisions have been made at both levels of government to ensure all City businesses have accurate information. As of now, the most important task is to keep detailed records of all Covid-19 related expenses as this information will be imperative to obtaining funding.

Our community always comes together to help each other in times of need, this time will be no exception. Thank you for doing your part to help limit the spread of Covid-19 in our community.
