Police Department Structure & Command

This Warrenton Police Department organization chart shows the hierarchy under the Office of the Chief of Police. Below the chief's office are four divisions: Patrol Division, Special Operations Divisions, Criminal Investigation Divisions, and Administration Division. The Special Operations Divisions includes: School Resource Officers, Ordinance Enforcement, Traffic Unit, Animal Control, and Crossing Guards. The Administration Division includes the Records Division and the Accreditation Manager.

Department Chain of Command

Below the Chief are four main roles: Lieutenant, Records Supervisor, Animal Control Supervisor, and School Crossing Guards.

Under the Lieutenant are Patrol Sergeants and the Traffic Unit, followed by Corporals and Patrolmen reporting to Patrol Sergeants. School Resource Officers, a Sergeant Detective with Detectives, Ordinance Enforcement and the Kennel Attendant also report under the Lieutenant.

Under the Records Supervisor are Records Clerks.
